Texas Instruments CDC341 1-Line to 8-Line Clock Driver Data Sheet
Summary
The CDC341 is a high-performance, low-skew BiCMOS clock driver designed for reliable signal distribution. It effectively takes one clock input and distributes it simultaneously to eight outputs with minimal skew and robust current capacity. This technical summary provides essential details including absolute maximum ratings, recommended operating conditions, electrical specifications (VCC range, output currents), and functional diagrams. The product is ideal for electronics engineers developing critical clock-distribution or clock-generation applications requiring precise and stable signal integrity.

description The CDC341 is a high-performance clock-driver circuit that distributes one (A) input signal to eight (Y) outputs with minimum skew for clock distribution. Through the use of the control pins (1G and 2G), the outputs can be placed in a low state regardless of the A input. The propagation delays are adjusted at the factory using the P0 and P1 pins. These pins are not intended for customer use and should be strapped to GND. The CDC341 is characterized for operation from 0°C to 70°C.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the primary function of the CDC341 chip?
It is a high-performance clock-driver circuit that distributes one input signal to eight outputs with minimum skew for clock distribution.
Are the pins P0 and P1 intended for customer use?
No, these pins are not intended for customer use; they should be strapped to GND because propagation delays are adjusted at the factory using them.
What voltage range should I use as the supply power (VCC)?
The recommended operating condition specifies a VCC supply voltage between 4.75 V and 5.25 V.
Can this chip be used in life-support or other critical applications?
No, it is not designed, authorized, or warranted to be suitable for use in life-support devices or systems (critical applications).
