Frequently Asked Questions

What is the recommended sequence for setting up my peripherals?

First, connect the computer and monitor to electrical outlets; then, set up other devices last.

If I have a video card, which connector should I prioritize for connecting my monitor?

For DVI connections, use DVI→DVI or VGA→DVI. If only integrated video is present, use VGA→VGA.

How can I correctly connect external devices such as digital cameras or game controllers?

Use the IEEE 1394 connector for digital cameras, or the front USB 2.0 connectors for accessories like game controllers.

Why will my monitor not function if I remove a cap from the video port?

Do not remove the safety caps covering the integrated video connector; removing them will prevent the monitor from functioning.
