FST34X245 32-Bit Bus Switch General Description Features The Fairchild Switch FST34X245 provides 32-bits of high ■4Ω switch connection between two ports speed CMOS TTL-compatible bus switching in a standard
■Minimal propagation delay through the switch
flow-through mode. The low On Resistance of the switch
■Low l CC
allows inputs to be connected to outputs without adding
propagation delay or generating additional ground bounce ■Zero bounce in flow-through mode
noise. ■Control inputs compatible with TTL level The device is organized as a 32-bit switch. When OE is ■32-bit version of FST3245 LOW, the switch is ON and Port A is connected to Port B.
■Packaged in 20.5mm 80-lead package
When OE is HIGH, the switch is OPEN and a high-imped- ance state exists between the two ports.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the FST34X245 enable/disable the bus connection?
The switch is connected (ON) when OE is LOW, and disconnected (OPEN) when OE is HIGH.
What are the specifications for on-resistance?
At 2.4V and a current of 15mA, the On Resistance ranges from 8 to 20 Ω.
Can this device handle high speed signals?
It offers minimal propagation delay, with a bus-to-bus time of 0.25 ns at V = 4.5–5.5V.
What type of voltage is needed for operation?
The recommended operating supply voltage is 4.0V to 5.5V, while the input and output voltages can range from -0.5V to +7.0V.
