Frequently Asked Questions
How does the FAN6862 minimize standby power consumption?
It uses a proprietary green-mode function with off-time Current Limiting modulation, entering burst-mode under zero load conditions.
What protection circuit can be used for monitoring ambient temperature?
An external NTC thermistor should be connected to the RT pin for over-temperature detection.
How does the controller help reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI)?
It features a frequency-hopping function and built-in synchronized slope compensation.
How is output voltage maintained within its operating range?
The FB pin provides an output voltage regulation signal that feeds back to the internal PWM comparator, controlling the duty cycle.
