Technical Bulletin GDC SR-1000 extended warranty This bulletin provides information about the GDC SR-1000 extended warranty.
The GDC SR-1000 Integrated Media Block (IMB) comes with a standard warranty at purchase: three years worldwide except China and four years in China. Immediately after the warranty expires, there are software limitations on the GDC SR-1000 board. For example, you can no longer do the following: Upgrade to newer software releases. Obtain detailed analysis from IMB logs for troubleshooting purposes. Due to this, you have the option of purchasing an extended warranty. The extended warranty allows you to use the GDC SR-1000 in the same manner as the first three/four years (for example, you can again upgrade the software, obtain detailed analysis from IMB logs for troubleshooting, and so on). The following part numbers identify the extended warranty you can purchase for additional warranty.
