Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum transmission distance supported by the device?

The unit supports transmission up to 1000 m when using PCF fiber.

Does this module require resistor changes based on cable length?

No, the Automatic Threshold Control (ATC) circuit stabilizes the output and requires no changing of a resistor based on transmission distance.

What precautions must be taken due to materials used in this product?

The LEDs contain GaAs (Gallium Arsenide), which is toxic. When disposing of products, follow appropriate regulations and do not mix them with other waste.

How should I monitor the long-term performance of the module?

Since light emitter characteristics can degrade, Toshiba recommends regular checks of the optical output based on the specific operating conditions and environment.
