Installing A Remote Access Card CAUTION: Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the system cover and access any of the components inside the system. See your Product Information Guide for complete information about safety precautions, working inside the computer, and protecting against electrostatic discharge. This document provides instructions for installing the remote access card on your system. NOTE: See your Installation and Troubleshooting Guide for detailed instructions on removing or replacing components. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet. Open the system. Remove the filler plug from the system back panel. See Figure 1. Remove the memory cooling shroud (if present). Remove the memory module fans at the back of the system (if present). Remove the fan bracket at the back of the system (if present).
