Dell UltraSharp U2419HC - Statement of Volatility
Summary
This statement of volatility documents the Dell U2419HC monitor's memory components. It identifies non-volatile components including serial flash ROM and EEPROM chips, their functions for firmware and calibration data storage, and data retention characteristics. The document targets security professionals and technicians assessing data security and component volatility for regulatory compliance purposes.

Statement of Volatility – Dell U2419HC CAUTION: A CAUTION indicates either potential damage to hardware or loss of data and tells you how to avoid the problem. The Dell U2419HC Monitor contains both volatile and non-volatile (NV) components. Volatile components lose their data immediately after power is removed from the component. Non-volatile (NV) components continue to retain their data even after power is removed from the component. The following NV components are present on the Dell U2419HC system board. Table 1. Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to data if I unplug the monitor?
Primary power loss will destroy all user data, as most components are volatile and lose their data immediately.
Which parts contain Non-Volatile (NV) memory on the system board?
The NV components include Flash chips (U302, U1303, U2502) and EEPROM chips (U303, U1902).
How is data stored in these non-volatile components?
These memory types retain their data even after external power is removed from the monitor.
