Frequently Asked Questions

Does the CMA work with static rails?

No, the Cable Management Arm (CMA) is compatible only with sliding rails, not static rails.

How do I replace an outer power supply when using a CMA on the right side?

Disconnect the inner CMA bracket from the rail; support the CMA and remove/replace the power supply; then reinstall the inner CMA bracket.

Where are data cables secured if the system is in static rails?

Use hook and loop straps to bundle and secure them to either the left or right rail, following specific guidelines in the Rack Installation Instructions.

What should be done after replacing a power supply?

Plug in the power cord, re-engage the strain relief, replace the CMA support tray, and return the CMA to the closed (retracted) position.
