Product Life Cycle Announcement ACS 501 Frequency Converter
This document announces the transition of ACS 501 to the obsolete phase of ABB’s Product Life Cycle.
1. LIFE CYCLE PHASE CHANGE On January 1, 2008 ACS 501 product will enter obsolete phase.
2. SUPPORT AVAILABILITY When entering to the obsolete phase ABB shall no longer guarantee support for ACS 501 Product. Spare parts, repair and support services are provided only as long as they are available.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION It is recommended that the ACS 501 Product will be replaced with a new ABB AC Drive Product. A Web-based tool at http://194.241.163.54/driveupgrade/ is available for finding the correct replacement. The local ABB organization is glad to help to choose the correct replacement for the equipment in question and explain what other options are available.
