Memory

SIMMS should be 72pin, 16 or 32MB, 5v, FPM or EDO, 60ns or faster, with a height of 36mm or less. We recommend using the highest quality SIMM's and memory cards possible. The following SIMMs have been tested successfully with the VP-9000:

Delkin K-Tech Devices Buffalo SM072-032P5244-7 32MB MD32E72A60 32MB VMH-64LS(EDO) 32MB x 2 pcs. Green House MD32NP72A60 32MB Logitec GH-S328MA/60 32MB MD16E72A60 16MB LSM-32A6(FP) 32MB GH-32E8MA/60 32MB MD16NP72A60 16MB LSM-32A6x2EDO(EDO)32MB GH-32E4MA/60 16MB

External Drives

Most SCSI and SCSI II hard drives work with the VP-9000 and can be formatted up to 2.1 GB per drive. CD-ROM drives have the same compatibility. We have tested the VP-9000 with the Roland VS-CDR, VS- CDRII, and CD-Rack drives successfully. Additionally, we have tested the VP-9000 successfully with the following removable media drives:

Castelwood Orb Io Mega ZIP 100, ZIP 250

The VP-9000 can not directly address CD-ROM writers, however you can transfer sample data to a CD-ROM by using a computer with CD-ROM premastering software. Several CD utility programs can make bit by bit or SCSI device copies of a Zip drive or hard drive to a CD-ROM.
