NOTE: Software RAID PERC S100/S300 is not supported on Linux-based operating systems and other virtualization-related operating systems such as VMware and Citrix Xen Server.
System Event Log Update In twelve–hard-drive systems, the event message E1812 is not logged in the System Event Log (SEL) when the internal hard drives are disconnected. This is working as designed. The error event E1812 is logged in the SEL only if the external hot-swappable hard drives that connect through the backplane are removed.
